Violin, Viola, and Cello Lessons
I teach using approachable methods using the natural weights of the body. I can build upon past instruction or find a good starting point to begin your musical journey into string playing.
My approach is to find comfort and strength incorporating ideas from Waldorf school ideology, Suzuki, and Feldenkrais, as well as those of my former mentors.
Piano Lessons
I explore the essentials of playing technique and work towards playing and finding notes. Piano can be a great way to develop skills in theory or find a way to play different types of music using rhythm and style.
Ukulele Lessons
With the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and our Oregon coast, ukulele is the perfect instrument for this area. If you are just starting out or developing your technique - I can help. So, let's have some fun strumming to your favorite tune or learning some fingerpicking skills.
